The inner-city, kerb by kerb
Every suburb in this pocket moves a bit differently. The gold pips show how hard the typical kerbside load and carry is here, from the open north to the tight harbour edge. Pick yours for the local detail and a quote.
The open north
Flatter, more open streets with more driveways, so most moves are a conventional house move timed around events.
The terrace grid
Single and double-fronted terraces with no driveway, so the move is a kerbside load and a careful narrow-hallway carry.
The Beaumont St strip
A busy, timed, restricted retail kerb, so the load is scouted and timed to a workable window on the strip.
The harbour edge
Tight reclaimed-land cottages and new apartments, so the move is either a kerbside carry or a booked lift-and-dock.
more pips = a tighter kerbside job (no driveway, narrow streets, a busy restricted strip)

Local knowledge, careful hands, honest quotes
We plan the kerb, not improvise it
Most inner-Newcastle homes have no driveway, so the move is a kerbside job. We scout the closest legal, safe truck spot and the carry in advance, so the morning is not spent hunting for somewhere to stop.
Narrow terraces are our specialty
Single-fronted Victorian hallways, tight return stairs, restored verandahs and heritage fences. We measure the access, choose the right approach and protect the original detail on the way in and out.
Insured, every move
Your belongings are covered while we carry them. Wrapping and protecting your furniture and your home is part of the job, not an extra.
Transparent quotes
A clear quote based on your actual move and access. What you are told up front is what you pay, with no day-of surprises.
Good to know before you move
Where will the truck park for my inner-city move?
At the nearest legal, safe kerb to your door. Most homes here have no driveway and the streets are narrow, so we scout the spot in advance and plan the carry from there. On busy strips like Beaumont Street and Maitland Road we time the load to a workable window.
Do I need a council permit to move?
Usually not, and a full-size removal truck generally cannot get one anyway: City of Newcastle only issues a temporary parking permit for vehicles under 4.5 tonnes and 7.5 metres. The realistic plan is a right-sized truck, a scouted legal spot and good timing, which we organise for you.
Can you get big furniture up a narrow terrace?
Yes, it is our normal day. Tight hallways and return staircases are what we plan for: we measure the access, pick the right approach and protect the walls, cornices and stair the whole way.
How far ahead should I book?
The earlier the better, especially around month-end and weekends. A week or two usually secures your date, but get in touch even at short notice and we will do our best to fit you in.
